World Cup Qualifiers

Hungary-v-Portugal

Andorra v Faroe Islands

  • Tom – “These teams have scored 3 goals between them in 720 minutes of football, can’t see this being a goalfest.” – Total Goals – Over/Under 2.5 – Under
  • Olly – “Andorra are a pub team and are POO (lost 5 of last 6 games).” – Match Outcome – Faroe Islands
  • Will – “”Andorra are, in affect, a pub team. The Faroe Islands however can actual play football and have beaten Latvia away from home as well as holding Hungary to a draw in their own backyard.” TJ on the blog. Andorra lost to both those teams recently.” – Match Outcome – Faroe Islands

Cyprus v Estonia

  • Tom – “Very evenly matched teams. I reckon this could be a draw as I think both teams will think they can win it.” – Both Teams to Score – Yes
  • Olly – “Very decent odds for a game with both teams so evenly matched. Chuck it in a risky small acca.” – Estonia To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “Could go wither way Similar scores. Similar sides. Both beat Gibraltar. Both beat Greece 2-0. Might as well go for the underdog to boost the odds.” – Match Outcome – Estonia

Sweden v Belarus

  • Tom – “Sweden should be too strong for Belarus at home. Belarus have only scored 2 goals in qualifying so far too, so I don’t see an upset here.” – Match Outcome – Sweden
  • Olly – “Could be a banana skin, but I reckon Sweden will edge it as they are at home (not without conceding).” – Sweden To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “Avoid. Banana. Should be Sweden. They won most recent friendly 6-0 v Slovakia. BUT Belarus recently beat Greece and drew with France.” – Match Outcome – Sweden

Switzerland v Latvia

Belgium v Greece

  • Tom – “Belgium have been scoring goals for fun recently under Roberto Martinez, so I fancy them to win this and there to be plenty of goals” – Total Goals – Over/Under 2.5 – Over
  • Olly – “Belgium are in fine form, with Lukaku smashing it in the prem, got a feeling they will run riot in this fixture. HT/FT is the best odds for this low odds game.” – Half-time/Full-time – Belgium/Belgium
  • Will – “Belgium. Scored 21 in qualifying so far. Must be one of the most. Conceded 1.” – Match Outcome – Belgium

Bulgaria v Netherlands

  • Tom – “Very decent odds on this. Holland have only not had BTTS in one of their last 6 games, and Bulgaria have had BTTS in 2 of their last 4. Holland should win this with their squad too!” – Netherlands To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Olly – “Netherlands have turned things around since losing the Greece. Only lost once in last 5 and that was to France. Reckon they still might concede.” – Netherlands To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “Holland have the better results against all teams in the group. Odds are too short to include in an acca though.” – Match Outcome – Netherlands

Luxembourg v France

Portugal v Hungary

  • Tom – “Hungary aren’t bad, so I think they’ll cause Portugal some problems. Portugal are European Champs so I expect them to still win, especially as they’re at home.” – Portugal To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Olly – “We all remember the 4-3 thriller between these two at the Euros. Think both teams will score again, this time a much more straight forward win for Portugal.” – Portugal To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “Portugal. Scoring loads. Hungary are good though. Odds are too short to bet.” – Match Outcome – Portugal

Armenia v Kazakhstan

  • Tom – “Double your money. Armenia have scored in their last 2 WC qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland, Kazakhstan have also scored in their last two games, against Denmark and Cyprus. I fancy this to be close, 1-1 or 2-1 either way.” – Both Teams to Score – Yes
  • Olly – “Mkhitaryan will carry Armenia through this. Both teams will score… 2-1 or 3-1 to Armenia.” – Armenia To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “Risky but a good one for the acca. Game could go either way. Kazakhstan drew to Poland and Romania. Armenia have lost every game except a tight win v Montenegro.” – Match Outcome – Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan v Germany

  • Tom – “Okay, this is a little out there but hear me out. Azerbaijan aren’t that bad defensively (apart from the NI game) they tend to keep it tight and are well organised. Germany will struggle to break them down, but will be far too strong in the end. I fancy Germany 3-0.” – Half-time/Full-time – Draw/Germany
  • Olly – “Should be pretty straight forward” – Half-time/Full-time – Germany/Germany
  • Will – “Germany. Clean sheet. Haven’t conceded yet.” – Match Outcome – Germany

England v Lithuania

  • Tom – “I liked the look of the back 3 against Germany, we looked solid and they didn’t cause us too many problems. I fancy England to win this 2 or 3 nil, but it might take us a little while to get on the score sheet. A clean sheet against Lithuania should be a banker.” – To keep a clean sheet – England
  • Olly – “Bit rogue but I reckon it might take a while for England to get into their stride. Will probs end up winning 2-0 (65 min and 84min) – You heard it hear first.” – Half-time/Full-time – Draw/England
  • Will – “England win and Alli probably scores. Looked good against Germany. New formation works. Lallana and Alli looked class.” – Match Outcome – England

San Marino v Czech Republic

Malta v Slovakia

Montenegro v Poland

  • Tom – “Double your money again. These are the top two teams in the group, so both will fancy their chance of winning the group. Poland have had BTTS in 4 of the last 5 games, and are good up top. Montenegro are leaky at the back so will definitely concede. Poland will probably edge it, but this is safe.” – Both Teams to Score – Yes
  • Olly – “Poland should win this with the strike force they have… They have a tendency to be leaky at the back though. This looks like a good shout.” – Total Goals – Over/Under 3.5 – Over
  • Will – “Again could go either way. Most likely a Poland win who are unbeaten in qualifying so far but Montenegro were too before last game when they lost 3-2 to Armenia thanks to a last minute winner after going 2-0 up.” – Match Outcome – Draw

Northern Ireland v Norway

  • Tom – “There doesn’t tend to be a lot of goals in games involving NI. I backed under 2.5 in most of their Euro qualifying campaign and cleaned up, so I am going for this again. 1-0 or 1-1 I reckon.” – Total Goals – Over/Under 2.5 – Under
  • Olly – “Northern Ireland are good at keeping it tight at the back but not going forward. Norway aren’t renowned for their strike force either. Think this will be 1-0 to Northern Ireland but certainly low scoring.” – Total Goals – Over/Under 2.5 – Under
  • Will – “Better results in the group.” – Match Outcome – Northern Ireland

Romania v Denmark

  • Tom – “Double your money again. These teams are very evenly matched, so I could see this being a draw, however I don’t like to tip draws as these are tough to call. Denmark have scored in 4 of their last five so I fancy them to bag away from home.” – Both Teams to Score – Yes
  • Olly – “Could go either way based on previous results. Denmark have a better team overall reckon they will edge it. Schmeichel, Eriksen, etc” – Match Outcome – Denmark
  • Will – “Can’t call it. Tightest fixture on the list. Results very similar. Probably gonna be a draw. Backed the one with better odds.” – atch Outcome – Romania

Scotland v Slovenia

  • Tom – “Scotland are bang average under Gordon Strachan, I think this could be the final nail in the coffin. Slovenia are probably the second best team in the group, behind England, so they desperately need a win. I fancy this to be 1-0 or 2-1 to Slovenia. Massive odds for it too, they’re undefeated in 5.” – Match Outcome – Slovenia
  • Olly – “This has Draw written all over it! Slovenia aren’t bad and Scotland aren’t good.” – Draw
  • Will – “Odds are good. 3.4 Scotland haven’t won since 5-1 v Malta in Sept. Slovenia drew to England who beat Scots. Beat Slovakia who beat Scots.” – Match Outcome – Slovenia

The ACCAs

2 each this week. Double bubble.

  • Tom – “My Saturday acca. Sweden should win at home. Andorra v FI shouldn’t be a goalfest, Belgium on the other hand… The odds booster is the Portugal game, need Hungary to notch.” – 4 Fold Accumulator – £10 would return £154.91
  • Tom – “Sunday’s acca. 4 games, pretty simple. England to keep a clean sheet, and goals for all teams in the other three games. Definitely worth a couple of nuggets, this.
    ” – 4 Fold Accumulator – £10 would return £112.00
  • Olly – “Watch this bad boy come in! Seriously, look at all of those selections. Very likely to happen. Have to get something on this…” – 4 Fold Accumulator – £10 would return £6,834.37
  • Will – “Great little bet this. Found the value with a few games which could genuinely go either way and backed the underdog. Eg / Slovenia should be favourite but they’re not – Scotland haven’t won since 5-1 v Malta in Sept. Slovenia drew to England who beat Scotland and beat Slovakia who also beat Scots.” – 6 Fold Accumulator – £10 would return £1,878.67
  • Will – “3 games which could go either way. Drawing at half time. Hope for late goals.” – Treble – £10 would return £2,975.00
