WMB TV – Premier League 17/18 – Week 4 Tips

Saturday 9th September 2017

Man City v Liverpool

  • Tom – “Liverpool have won three of their four Premier League games against Man City since Jurgen Klopp took charge, drawing the other in March last season. Liverpool have lost just one of their 22 Premier League matches against a team that finished in the top seven of the competition last season” – To Win Either half – Liverpool
  • Olly – “VERY GOOD ODDS. Little Rogue, but Liverpool have got their tails up at the moment and with the potential inclusion of Coutinho they could nick it!” – Liverpool To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “So many attacking players on the pitch. Liverpool look immense but they normally concede. Mané has scored seven goals in his last nine. Coutinho has scored more v City (4) than any other club in the league. Jesus has been directly involved in 8 goals, 4 assists in his last 11 st” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Over

Arsenal v Bournemouth

  • Tom – “Arsenal’s 3 home meetings with Bournemouth in all competitions have all ended in victory, with the most recent being a 3-1 win in November last season. Bournemouth have only avoided defeat once in all competitions against Arsenal, the 3-3 draw last season.” – Half-time/Full-time – Draw/Arsenal
  • Olly – “Arsenal are a team in free fall. Morale is non-existent and players don’t look like they want to be there. In this situation, anything can happen. If I was feeling risky I’d say Bournemouth win (7/1) but bottled it and gone safer with Bournemouth to win either half.” – To Win Either half – Bournemouth
  • Will – “Arsenal have won one game, Bournemouth have won 0. Harsh on Bournemouth who haven’t been playing that badly. Narrow loss to City (97th min winner – Sterling) Narrow loss to Watford (2 late goals) Narrow loss to West Brom (1-0) Arsenal have been playing much worse.” – Bournemouth To Win And Both Teams To Score

Brighton v West Brom

  • Tom – “Brighton have failed to score in their opening three Premier League games of the season and have attempted just six shots on target so far. West Bromwich Albion have scored just seven goals in 12 Premier League games since the start of April.” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Olly – “Brighton have failed to score in the prem yet and West Brom aren’t exactly renowned for their Bag(gies) of goals. 😉 Reckon West Brom will nick it 1-0 maybe 2 at a push.” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Will – “Since Pulis took charge of his first WBA game in the Premier League back in January 2015, the Baggies have won the most matches 1-0 in the competition (15).” – Correct score – West Bromwich Albion 1 – 0

Everton v Spurs

  • Tom – “I never normally tip a draw, but this game screams draw! Everton have won 10/11 Premier League home games in 2017 so far (won 10, lost 1) – only opponents Spurs have won more points in this period. Tottenham have won their last three Premier League away games. They’re going to cancel each other out.” – Match Outcome – Draw
  • Olly – “Both teams are performing to a very similar level so far this season. Genuinely can’t separate them. Draw on the cards I think!” – Match Outcome – Draw
  • Will – “Its September, Harry Kane has opened his scoring for the year (for England) His next goal for Spurs will be his 100th.” – To score at any time – Harry Kane

Leicester v Chelsea

  • Tom – “Chelsea have won 13/17 Premier League away games and have only failed to score in two of these trips. Since August 2016, Leicester City have lost 10/14 Premier League matches against 2016- 17’s top six sides and picked up only eight points out of a possible 42.” – Match Outcome – Chelsea
  • Olly – “Morata looks like he is starting to find his way now in the Prem. These are decent odds for him to score anytime. I expect a Vardy goal too!” – To score at any time – Alvaro Morata
  • Will – “Chelsea have won 13 of their last 17 Premier League away games” – Chelsea To Win And Both Teams To Score

Southampton v Watford

  • Tom – “Southampton have failed to score in eight of their last 11 Premier League matches, including two of their three games so far this season. Watford have kept a clean sheet in their last 2 Premier League games and have restricted their opponents to just 4 shots on target overall in this period.” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Olly – “Going to be a very tight game. Both teams have drawn 2 and won 1 and struggling to find the net recently. On paper this is a 1-0 jobby” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Will – “Saints have struggled to score. Watford kept a clean sheet in their last two Premier League games and have restricted their opponents to just four shots.” – To keep a clean sheet – Watford

Stoke v Man Utd

  • Tom – “Utd and Jose, don’t like Stoke. Stoke are unbeaten in their last 4 home Premier League games against Manchester United. Mark Hughes is unbeaten in his last 3 league meetings with Jose Mourinho, won 1, drawn 2. Jose Mourinho hasn’t been on the winning side in any of his last 4 clashes against Stoke” – To Win Either half – Stoke City
  • Olly – “Lukaku is on fire for club and country! Better odds for him to score anytime than a united win. This is where the value is at!” – To score at any time – Romelu Lukaku
  • Will – “Romelu Lukaku has scored 16 goals and assisted two more in his last 18 league games.” – To score at any time – Romelu Lukaku

Burnley v Palace

  • Tom – “Big odds for this! Burnley won both Premier League clashes against Palace last season, and won 10 games at home last year. Palace are yet to score a Premier League goal this season as we head in to matchday 4, but have never failed to find the net in their opening 4 games of a league season.” – Match Outcome – Burnley
  • Olly – “Can’t see many goals in this! Both teams have been struggling to find the net (apart from the freak Chelsea result for Burnley)” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Will – “Palace are in trouble. Lost every game so far and havent scored. Burnley won both Premier League clashes against Palace last season” – Match Outcome – Burnley

Swansea v Newcastle

  • Tom – “These teams have only scored 5 goals in the Premier League between them so far. Swansea have had just 27 touches in the opposition penalty area; the fewest by a Premier League side.” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Olly – “Swansea have scored 6 goals in their last 2 matches and Newcastle have just started finding the net too. Should be goals in this game, but I think Swansea will edge it.” – Swansea City To Win And Both Teams To Score
  • Will – “Since Paul Clement took over at Swansea, theyve won as many Premier League games (10) as Manchester United.” – Match Outcome – Swansea City

Monday 21st August 2017

West Ham v Huddersfield

  • Tom – “West Ham are goal shy, they’ve only bagged 2 goals in 3 games so far. Huddersfield’s Jonas Lössl is looking to become only the fourth goalkeeper in Premier League history to keep a clean sheet in each of his first four appearances.” – Total goals – over/under 2.5 – Under
  • Olly – “He is there main man up top and I think West Ham are there for the taking. If Huddersfield can win Mounie is the man who will be leading the charge.” – To score at any time – Steve Mounie
  • Will – “Huddersfield are 3rd, yet to lose. Huddersfield have played more passes than any team in the attacking third of the pitch (36.3% of their passes). West Ham United have been the leakiest and allowed their opponents the most (9) clear-cut chances in front of goal this season.” – Match Outcome – Huddersfield Town

  • Tom – “Cheeky treble this. This is my staple Arsenal tip, it came in 7/8 time last season. Everton v Spurs has draw written all over it. And I fancy Burnley to beat Palace as they and De Boer are struggling!” – Treble – £10 would return £318.77
  • Olly – “This is outrageous odds for the likelihood of this coming in! EVERYONE BACK THIS!!!” – 4 Fold Accumulator – £10 would return £495.33< ❌/li>
  • Will – “The most ridiculous odds for any 4 fold I’ve ever seen considering the results so far this season.” – Match Outcome – Burnley
